The first day of Spring is coming up on March 20, and maybe with the first hints of warm sunshine you’re feeling inspired to make some refreshing updates indoors as well. There are plenty of easy ways to do a Spring reboot of your home: adding some fresh flowers and plants, new pillows or throws in a pop of vibrant color, or highlighting a feature wall with a fresh coat of paint or eye-catching wallpaper treatment. Here are a few of our ideas to get your home ready for Spring:

Metallics are still hot

York Wallcoveringscolor of the year for 2016 is metallic gold and I am onboard. It always looks fresh and warm and acts as an edgier neutral when you need that extra shine. Modern Marble is a perfect example of a way to add some metallic into your decor in a subtle but sexy way.

Color, color, color

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, shared more colors that will be popular in 2017 at the recent International Home + Housewares Show including rich floral hues, dreamy pastels in yellow and green, and a stress-reducing “forest bathing” series featuring several shades of green and blue green contrasted with a refreshing acid lime. Pick the colors that make you happiest and incorporate them in easy ways like textural throws and pillows, tabletop accessories or side tables.

You can’t go wrong going green. From deep forest hues to electric lime, green symbolizes freshness and rebirth; it’s the most common color in the natural world and brings to mind the outdoors. York Wallcoverings offers gorgeous greens from Spring Green to Emerald to Jade and Mint. Check out this stunning Banana Leaf design.
