Anne Martin, founder and president
A seasoned lifestyle and home furnishings communications professional, Anne founded AMMC, Inc. in 2003. Previously she was Director of Marketing Communications for both WestPoint Stevens (1997-2003) and F. Schumacher & Co. (1987-97). She also practiced PR for arts and lifestyle clients at Ruder & Finn in Chicago, and fashion and celebrity clients at Ogan/Dallal Associates in New York.
Anne serves on the Advisory Board of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology School of Home Products. She previously served on the boards of New York’s International Furnishings & Design Association, New York Women in Communications and the Greenville Ballet in Greenville, SC.
Anne received IFDA’s Circle of Excellence Award for Public Relations, the Ad-Q Award for Outstanding Advertising; three Effie Awards for Newsletter Excellence and the Clarion Award for B2B Print Advertising. She divides her time between San Francisco and New York.
Daniel Austin, graphic designer
Daniel has more than thirteen years experience in conception and execution of design programs. With an extensive background in marketing, design, pre-press streamlining, production supervision, and client and budget management, Daniel works with the AMMC team on branding and logo design, html email development, web design management, video creation and editing, graphic design, and more. Daniel is based in South Carolina.
Lucille Grippo, affiliate
A specialist in lifestyle PR and marketing, Lucille began her career in broadcast marketing and then moved into the home furnishings industry where she managed and directed marketing and public relations efforts for Waverly, one of the most recognized names in home furnishings. She was instrumental in marketing the lifestyle brand across several product categories and retail distribution outlets gaining extensive editorial coverage in consumer, trade and broadcast outlets. Her expertise in working with fabric, wallpaper, and other home categories then led her to Williamsburg where she executed strategic marketing plans in collaboration with their 40+ home product licensees. Today, she continues her passion for managing media relations and executing client strategies with AMMC, working on marketing plans for textile, wallpaper, and furniture clients. Lucille is based in New York.
Barrie-Lynn Romero, affiliate
Barrie-Lynn has more than 15 years’ experience in home furnishings PR, product design and development. Prior to AMMC, Barrie-Lynn was Designer with Revman International, specializing in design and product development for the Tommy Hilfiger Home, Bedding and Bath product lines. Her designs have been sold in Macy’s and other top retailers.
Barrie-Lynn earned a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising Management and Fabric Styling from Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). She resides in New Jersey.
Ashleigh VanHouten, affiliate
Ashleigh joined AMMC after two and a half years as products editor with Hospitality Design magazine. She brings with her more than six years editorial experience, previously working for print and online publications in the U.S. and Canada. Ashleigh’s background is in corporate marketing; she holds a Masters degree in Professional Communication and has worked in marketing and communications positions throughout North America and Bermuda, with a strong focus on strategic branding, social media campaigns, and organizational communications. Ashleigh divides her time between New York and Ottawa, Canada.
Sara Picchioni Williams, affiliate
A public relations professional with more than 15 years experience in the home and building products category, Sara’s diverse background includes marketing communications from program management and team development to writing, media relations, and internal communications. Specialties include consumer media outreach and B2B media relations. Sara is based in Chicago.
