Clean, simple neutrals are always in – they provide a backdrop for feature design elements, allowing art or statement furniture to pop, and they also provide a calming serenity when vivid brights or patterns won’t do. Some neutral tones can be stark, and while there’s certainly a time and place for black and white, at times a more subtle approach is the way to go. Alabaster, a creamy, smooth hue that is essentially white’s less ostentatious cousin, is clean without being harsh.
